ENCOUNTERS

I see spirits everywhere. I feel spirits everywhere. Places do not have to be haunted to have spirit energy. But, because of how strong my abilities are…I am a beacon for roaming spirits. I block myself off, but like I have said before…some spirits are so strong and want to be seen and heard so bad that they get through.

These two short stories are about encounters with spirits when I was at a party, and then an unplanned stop at a restaurant. Both of them unexpected, but unforgettable.

ENCOUNTER #1

The first encounter happened at a birthday party for my brother. One of the couples there I have known for years, but only interact with during events of my brother and sister-in-law’s life. (Wedding, baby showers, birthday parties)

I was catching up with…”Vee and Ned”. We were talking about their kids, my kids, and my grandkids. Then I saw him. I tall older male standing behind Vee. At first I thought he was just a spirit passing through. Then he said he was Vee’s dad. Which confused me, because I did not know if Vee’s dad was still alive or not. Then Vee starts talking about how her dad died recently and Ned’s dad died recently.

I then asked Vee if she knew that I can see and talk to spirits. She said she did know and that she was a believer. I then told her that I am pretty sure her dad is standing here with us, but I am confused by his energy. So I described what I was seeing and hearing. He is tall, thin, and he is wearing shorts and a button up flowery shirt, and no shoes. But, what is confusing me is how flamboyant but manly he is. Also, he is very put together, almost pretty, but in a manly way.

So, I had to ask Vee if her father was gay. She said he was. That was news to me!! So then her father makes me feel how sick he was when he died, but he hid it from everyone. Vee said that was true. Then he told me his message for Vee. I am not going to share the message I gave to Vee. I feel it was just for her and by her reaction, it was what she needed to hear. Hopefully it gave her a little bit of closure.

ENCOUNTER #2

It was a beautiful Wednesday afternoon, and my hubby and I wanted sushi for linner (the hours between lunch and dinner). We went to our favorite sushi place in Laguna Niguel. After we ate, we decided that we did not want to go home, so we stopped at Bottega Angelina to check it out. Neither one of us had been there before, and have heard all good things about it.

The restaurant is stunning. It has an Italian market in front, a beautiful dining room and bar. And the view from the outside patio is breath taking. Also, they have a fire burning pizza oven. My favorite!

We sat at the bar. It wasn’t crowded, so everyone around the bar was spread out. At the end of the bar to our right were two women who looked to be celebrating. After awhile my hubby and I started talking to them. And yes, they were celebrating that they got their Bachelor’s degree at UCI. They were in their late 30’s and after having other careers, decided to go back to get their degree and that is where they met.

They were talking about how everything happens for a reason. That fate brought them together at a time when they both needed a strong friendship to get them through tuff times. Then the one woman, Faith, said she has to believe that there is more out there than we can see with our eyes. Then she told us that she is dying. She has terminal cancer.

Her words punched me in the gut. I would have never known by looking at her. I can usually sense if a person is not well by their aura or the energy they exude, but her energy was amazing. She told us about her journey from when she was diagnosed to now. And her friend Christy added to her story because at one point Faith was is a coma and they did not think she was going to make it.

We sat there for over an hour listening to their stories. Then my hubby asked them if they believed in mediums. They both said they absolutely did. Then he told them that I was a medium. At this point, Faith and Christy picked up there stuff and moved closer to us. Then they asked if we had to leave, and if not, could we hang out longer, because they wanted to ask me a ton of questions. That is when I could see an older couple standing behind Faith.

I was pretty sure they were there for Faith, but they did not look anything like her, and they weren’t giving me the “grandparents” vibe. So I decided to wait before I said anything.

The ladies were full of questions. And, they shared with me their ghost encounters. Christy said she knows that her x-father-in-laws spirit is with her and her sons every where they go. So we discussed that for awhile. At this point, we were there for hours and now we were hungry for dinner. So the four of us ordered more drinks and some pizzas.

The energy of the couple that was standing behind Faith, was getting stronger. I know the pizza was amazing, but I couldn’t concentrate or focus on anything but the spirit couple’s energy. So, I finally told Faith that could see an older couple standing next to her. I then asked if she wanted me to tell her everything I can see and hear. She said she absolutely did.

I first told her what they looked like. They were adorable. A short couple and the woman had blonde bobbed hair and the gentleman just stared at her with admiration. All I could feel from them was pure love and protection. They were telling me that they were not her grandparents or her parents, but they basically raised her. I also had to tell her that they had some kind of thick accent.

Faith is crying now. She said the couple is her Aunt and Uncle from Sicily that practically raised her when she was very young. I told her that the energy they were giving off was so heart warming and beautiful. They just have such pure love and admiration for her. Her Aunt and Uncle wanted her to know that they are always with her. They will be with her during her fight with cancer and they will be waiting for her when she joins them. That’s when I started crying.

Faith then said that she really needed to hear that. Then thanked me. I told her not to thank me, she should thank her Aunt and Uncle for trusting me to give her their message.

I will never forget that moment. As I am writing this, and rereading what I have typed…I am reminded of how that chance meeting impacted my life. I am drawn to places and people that change my life daily. Some more than others. But, this one was on another level of how things happen for a reason.

I did exchange phone numbers with Faith and Christy. Faith did text me thanking me again. And we did try to meet for dinner, but we couldn’t get our schedules to work. I have been back to Bottega a few more times, always hoping that Faith and Christy will be sitting at the bar celebrating, because that is the way I want to see them.

I have many more encounters and investigations that I still haven’t written about. I will try to write more this year….maybe try telling a few of them on TikTok.

Until then…….
